Through Shamatha meditation comes mindfulness free from disturbing thoughts and emotions as well as the potential for insight into the true nature of the mind. Positive attitudes, reactions and habitual patterns are strengthened, thus nurturing our meditation practices as well as our daily lives. Training the mind in the methods of shamatha meditation provides understanding about how to abandon what is to be eliminated and how to cultivate the remedies to make this possible.

Suggested donations for Ten-week Program $150 (members $100)

Although it is advisable to attend all ten Saturday morning sessions, it is not mandatory or essential in order to gain benefit: Per session $20 (members $15)

* Please note that the practice sessions for Shamatha, Calm Abiding Meditation will be Sunday mornings 10:30 a.m. – noon
